The Daffodil is a symbol of hope that cancer can be beaten. In the early 1950s, it was used by a group of Canadian Cancer Society to decorate a tea fundraiser. They chose the daffodil because its bright and cheerful yellow flowers reflected their faith that, together, one day we can overcome cancer.
In honour of the Canadian Cancer Society's Daffodil Days, the Detla Biotech Society presents:

Cancer Today, Cancer Tomorrow
An Expert Panel on the role of biotechnology in the future of cancer diagnostics and therapeutics.

1. Dr Tak Wah Mak - the brain power behind the discovery of the T-cell receptor and founder of the AMGEN Research Institute of Toronto
2. Dr Brent Zanke - VP of the Ontario Institute of Cancer Research (OICR) and Director of the Ontario Tumour Bank
3.
Dr. Gang Zheng - Senior Scientist at the UHN's Division of Biophysics
and Bioimaging and member of the Ontario Cancer Institute
Space is limited. Registration is prefered, but not mandatory (those who have registered are given priority seating). Please register if you plan on attending. If you are uncertain, please refrain from registering until you decide you can make it only to allow others a fair opportunity to get a seat.
